Plein Air Painting, 1st June 2022, Founders Heritage Park, Nelson

Meet us for plein air painting on 1st June 2022, 10am, Founders Heritage Park, 87 Atawhai Drive, Nelson. Founders Park offers historic homes, a windmill, church, cars, buses, airplane and hopefully coffee if the cafe is open… 

Please bring your painting supplies, a chair, bug spray, sun screen, morning tea/lunch and good weather.

Officially this is the last plein air painting for the season. The weather is now getting more and more unpredictable which we experienced clearly at our last session when the wind was blowing hard. I think I heard a yelp when someone’s easel went flying and another artist tied everything to his easel to keep it steady. However, since we have been doing so well the offer is to keep “plein air” going but meet at Nicole’s studio at 300 Pomona Road, Ruby Bay. The property offers shelter, great views over the bay or the mountains and when it gets too unpleasant outside a still life will be waiting for you inside.  Let’s see how we go.

Plein air painting or still life painting (winter) is scheduled for every Wednesday morning, except the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Please contact me if you like regular updates by email.
