Photos of Plein Air Painting at Staples Road, Motueka (“the Kumeras”)

In March we went Plein Air Painting at “the Kumeras”, an area known historically for the kumera fields on either side of Staples Road in Motueka. It  was a true delight. The weather was gorgeous, the wind a bit challenging and the incoming tide kept us on our toes as the water crept closer and closer to our easels. Lois painted on an old book cover and showed us her driftwood dogs, which she took to the Cold Store Gallery later that day.
