Emma’s Flowers

A gorgeous bouquet of flowers given to Nicole by her neighbour Emma became the inspiration for this artwork. Nicole’s intention was not only to show flowers but also the feeling that goes into picking flowers, arranging them in the bowl and the joy they give when you look at them. This feeling is expressed by the colours encircling and dancing around the bouquet. 

The painting was done in oil on stretched canvas. Nicole used only the palette knife to create bold colourful strokes.
