This painting shows Nicole’s palette knife interpretation of the Broadgreen Historic House in Stoke/Nelson, New Zealand. The various colours applied in thick palette knife strokes have to work together through tonal values to depict the image of this old homestead with its picket fence and the flowers and bushes in front of it.
