Autumn Reflections

Autumn is my favourite time for plein air painting (painting outdoors). I met with a small group of artists at a beautiful private property called “Silvan” in Richmond (NZ) and we set up our easels around the lake. Most of the time it was difficult to make a decision on what to paint since there is so much choice, but this time it was very easy. The reflections of the autumn leaves in the water were the first thing that caught my eye and I knew that I didn’t have to look any further.
