Last Wednesday's plein air painting at Miyazu Gardens, Nelson, was challenging and lovely. The wind was blowing so strongly that painting with a free standing easel would have been interesting. Most of us were satisfied with a little sketch or watercolour painting. Still, the wind managed to blow my materials around and I had to run after them like a spooked chicken. However, the sunshine was beautiful and we enjoyed strong contrasts. Here are some photos:

Plein Air Painting, 7th October 2020, Miyazu Gardens

Spring is here and Plein Air Painting is starting up again. If you would like to paint outside, meet us on 7th October 2020, 10am, at Miyazu Gardens, Nelson, where the cherrie blossoms should still be blooming. Please bring your painting supplies, a chair, bug spray, sun screen, morning tea/lunch and good weather. Plein air is scheduled for every Wednesday morning, except the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Meet us for plein air painting on 27th May 2020 at Silvan, 205 Champion Road, Richmond. Silvan is a private property with a lake amongst forest trees. We might still catch some autumn leaves, especially the ginkgo trees are beautiful at the moment.
