Last week we were three artists painting with watercolours on Rabbit Island, Mapua, NZ. We had to take the ferry, a rather “unique” looking boat, to cross over the channel and then had a total of two hours before being picked up again. While painting a weka stole one artist’s sponge and declared it non-edible. Then one of us placed their chair on an ants nest. So we can claim some animal encounter, right?! So much fun!.

Last Wednesday we met for Plein air painting at Gravity Winery and Cellar Door, Mahana, NZ. It may look like we had more fun ordering the yummy food but believe me, the painting session before our lunch was fantastic! Perfect weather, hardly any wind, good company. What more can you ask for?
