Tinned Spaghetti in Tomato Sauce is definitely something to get used to. Don't think of Italian spaghetti. It might look similar but the taste and texture is very different. My family likes to eat it hot on toast and it's best when it's heated in the oven with cheese sprinkled over it. Tinned Spaghetti and Tomato Sauce is number six in the Kiwi Classics collections. It's always special to hang artwork in your local community. The library is such a lovely building and although not very big, it has a great selection of books. The staff is so friendly and helpful, it's a real joy to go there. Until mid November the library will display about 13 of my paintings, which are mainly my plein air works. Golden Syrup was the second painting in my Kiwi Classics series. I thoroughly enjoyed painting it. The painting was painted in oils on primed watercolour paper, 16cm x 16cm.

This is the first painting in the Kiwi Classics Series. I started it yesterday afternoon and put the finishing touches down this morning. Needles to say it is still very wet and I'm very happy with it. The Kiwi Classics Series will continue throughout winter while the weather doesn't allow us to go outside for plein air painting.
