Ready to go for a Tiki-Tour

"Ready to go for a Tiki-Tour" shows a small dinghy with the Apple Shed Restaurant in the background. It is located at the Mapua Inlet, which is famous for its strong currents at high or low tide. Because to the tide the dinghy sometimes sits on the mud but in this painting it is floating and ready to go for a tiki-tour. “7am at Java Hut” is the larger one of two oil paintings done of Java Hut, the funky coffee place in Mapua. For a group of men it has become tradition to meet in the morning at 7am when the shop opens to grab a coffee and then go for a walk to the waterfront. "Meet for a Coffee at Java Hut" is another painting in the series of this funky coffee bar. Java Hut is located in Mapua, New Zealand. It is open every day and a meeting point for the locals who appreciate seriously good coffee and a lovely chat. The building that houses Java Hut was originally a bank in Wakefield and later moved to its current location.
