Old Wharf Motueka

“Old Wharf Motueka” was painted at a plein air painting outing to a decommissioned historic wharf in Motueka, NZ. In the morning when I arrived at the location gloomy black clouds had followed me and sure enough it started raining soon. All I could paint was the view from my car as I set up my painting gear at the boot. This worked remarkably well with the brush in one hand and the umbrella in the other to avoid getting rained on my back. I’m really pleased with this painting.”
